"Foxy," was my first horse. I purchased her in 1999, I had big dreams of taking her into the show ring! Sadly on one day in September 1999 she broke her pelvis. All my dreams for her fell to my stomach and then faded away. We took her to the vet, as she was loosing muscle mass in her hip. The vet said give her a years holiday, so we did. We took her back to the vet the following year, and she had regained all of her muscle, the vet could not believe her eyes. She said to try and train her for a riding horse. So we called up a trainer in our local area. Made all of the arrangements, then took the mare there. The ground work was going good, the first couple of rides went good, but then the trainer sat back to say "whoa", and Foxy took off running. We took the saddle off of her and her hip area was swollen, so we called another vet and obtained his opinion. He said, "Stop all training on this mare, she is in to much pain!" Again my heart wanted to stop. The vet looked at me and asked, "how old is this mare?" I replied, "three!" He looked at the mare did an internal and said,"try to breed her and see what happens!" So we took Foxy back to the trainers and when she cycled we bred her to Diamonds N Rubles. The pregnancy went well, but the delivery.....Foxy had a very long hard delivery with "Bullet" (you can view Bullet on our stallions page). We were advised by our vet to leave her open so we did. We thought we would try again this 2002 and see what happens during her foal out. I have also taken Foxy to two vets, and both have said she is riding sound now. Foxy had a filly in 2003 sired by Two Eyed Wade. This filly will go back to Two Eyed Jack 4x. Foxy again had a terrible delivery, therefore is classified as not breeding sound.
